1st Line Support Engineer

Hopestrand are an MSP specialising in supporting a wide range of businesses, looking after a mixture of Macs, PCs, Windows Servers, Hyper-V and VMWare, as well as a complete suite of Cloud Based technologies across business platforms. We are looking for a Support Analyst to join our small, friendly and dynamic team. You would be working from home so no travel needed. You will be supporting clients with our other technical staff to resolve a numerous of clients’ technical issues, installing new equipment and performing general maintenance in a mixed PC/Laptop and Apple Mac environment.

About you: preferably be an extrovert with exceptional customer-service and communication skills (written and verbal) in order to provide a first-class level of support to clients. Commercial experience in a good number of the following is essential.

• Apple Mac and IOS/Android and Windows 10/11 technical support knowledge and set up.

• PC & Mac (desirable) hardware technical understanding. • Windows Server Active Directory and Exchange administration. • Office 365

• Networking hardware support including firewall/router configuration and setup knowledge (desirable).

• Printer configuration, setup and troubleshooting experience.

• Experience with hosted cloud providers such as Office 365, G-Suite, Dropbox etc.

• Experience with small/medium sized business I.T. support and advising on new equipment/services based upon client requirements.

• Ability to think logically and troubleshoot issues from call/email/ticket to satisfied client.

• Ability to meet and communicate with business leaders and their representatives in a professional manner.

• Security and confidentiality are paramount to this role.

Hours: 7.5 hours a day
